Your Neighborhood Produce Is Selected To Compete In Pepsi Refresh Project For Grant To Feed Monroe Families


Monroe, NC – Sara Ray Brooks and Your Neighborhood Produce are pleased to announce that they were selected to be part of the PEPSI Refresh Project to provide fresh produce to families in Monroe, NC.

The produce co-op was begun by Christina Nelson, a mother of 4, originally from California, who now resides in Clover, SC. It began with 17 participants 21 months ago and has grown to eight locations in the greater Charlotte area and 1700 participants. Sardis Baptist Church in Indian Trail serves as one of the pick up sites.

You can drop by La Vida Mocha Coffee all day on Wednesday, April 21, to say hello and vote. They will have computers and will assist you logging in to make your vote. La Vida Mocha is located at 1900-C West Roosevelt Boulevard.
