The Monroe Scoop. Monroe, NC

In it’s most simplified form, The Scoop is a local, hometown web site and blog that centers around Monroe, NC and the surrounding communities in Union County, NC. The Scoop is local and interactive. I’m building this site to highlight local people, business and community events. I saw a need and wanted to fill it. With a web site like this, I can go deeper into a story or event than a local newspaper can or will go.

There are so many wonderful stories out there it would be impossible for me to cover them all. I certainly can’t be everywhere at once but as a reader of this site, I would love for you to take an active part and notify me of events or news. As a reader of this site, you can play a part of what is published here. I want to hear from you. Do you have an event or organization that you would like publicity for? All you have to do is send me the information on e-mail with some photos if you have them. If your organization fits in with the theme of this site, your information can be published right here. I have a very convenient contact form at the top of the page for you to contact me.

This is a positive, pro-business, pro-community and pro-people web site. I will focus on positive news about our community and our citizens. This site is new but will grow over time and I hope you will be a part of it. If you are a business owner, I plan to offer small business profiles here on the Scoop. This service could be a valuable part of your overall marketing plan. It will be unlike any marketing and advertising that you have been using. I am a small business owner myself and I understand the importance of getting the word out about your company. It’s not easy. Print media continues to fall in popularity.
