The Monroe Scoop proudly welcomes our newest sponsor, the Monroe Mall. As publisher of the Monroe Scoop, I’m very excited to have the Mall come on board. The Monroe Mall has always been an active participant and supporter of so many great causes here in Union County & Monroe. It seems a natural partnership and gives us both a chance to get the word out about worthwhile events being held at the Mall and causes we jointly support.
The Monroe Mall has recently undergone a complete inside renovation and is in the process of an exterior renovation that includes a new front entrance. Some of the changes include a name change. Soon to be known as “Monroe Crossing” the excitement is building as work nears completion.
I had a chance to sit down with Caroline Adams, Director of Marketing, to discuss the exciting news and the summer plans for events at the Mall. It seems that everyone is anticipating the grand opening of Extreme Play. Extreme Play is a child’s playground dream come true that will be opening soon at the Sears entrance. If you haven’t been to the Mall lately you have missed some very exciting events. The Mall is a great place to shop and very soon you will be able to drop your children off at Extreme Play and they will looked after while you shop. One of the great events held recently at the Monroe Mall was the “Fashion + Passion” show sponsored by the Monroe Mall and the Union County American Red Cross. Larry Sprinkle, famous Charlotte Weatherman, emceed the event. In case you missed it, check out the video highlights. This is just some of the fun things that are happening all the time at the Monroe Mall.
