I recently was dragged…uh I mean I went willingly with the Mrs. to the new IKEA Store in Charlotte. I brought a video camera along and I’m working on that video now. I’m sure you’ve heard of this new Swedish Furniture Store. It’s been all the rage lately, I have to admit, it’s pretty awesome.
The City of Monroe recently demonstrated the services of Fire, Police & Rescue at the city training facilities. The Monroe Fire Dept. put on demonstrations of vehicle fires and rescues with the “Jaws of Life”. Monroe Police including SWAT, gave very impressive demonstrations of the departments abilities. I was fortunate to be invited and I’m preparing a video of the demonstration. You will be impressed with these men and women who put their life on the line for us every day.
The economy is pretty much the focus of everyone these days. I’ll be bringing the readers of Monroe Scoop another video in the series I call “Saving Money In Union County”. I’ll give you a guided video tour of the Goodwill Store in Monroe, NC. I was very impressed with what I found and the many community services offered by the Goodwill Corporation. The reach of Goodwill goes way beyond the stores and they provide truly wonderful services that you may not realize. Goodwill does a fantastic job job in all of the communities it serves.
