The Union County Violence Prevention Task Force will be hosting the First Annual Prevention and Intervention Awards luncheon on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009 from 11:30am-1:00pm at The Union County Agricultural Center located 3230 Presson Road, Monroe, NC 28112. This awards luncheon will recognize the domestic violence, sexual violence, and child maltreatment prevention and intervention efforts of those outstanding members of law enforcement, legal/judicial, medical, educational personnel and student as well as volunteers and survivors impacted by violence in Union County.
The Union County Violence Prevention Task Force is comprised of representatives from United Family Services, Union County Sheriff’s Office, Union County Health Department, Union County Department of Social Services, Turning Point, Monroe Police Department, Carolinas Medical Center-Union, and various other community organizations and individuals. The taskforce meets the 4th Thursday of each month.
Advance registration is required for this event. Please forward a $10.00 registration fee to include lunch and contact information to the Violence Prevention Taskforce C/O UFS, 604 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.
