Union County, North Carolina
This past weekend, the Union County Motorcycle and Hot Rod Classic was held in downtown Monroe, NC. It was a 3-day event and several thousand bikers came from all over to participate. The event was held in the parking lot at the corner of Old Charlotte Ave. & Crowell St. Live music played throughout the weekend.
The event was packed with vendors selling all things motorcycle related and plenty of food vendors. The weather for the event could not have been more perfect. The crowds were especially heavy on Saturday and everyone was having a good time. The City of Monroe and local merchants most likely saw a boost because of the number of people who came to Monroe to enjoy this event. I spoke to the Monroe Police who were in the area on bikes and Segways and they reported no problems with such a large crowd.
