Stallings, NC

Stallings Elementary School celebrated Constitution Day recently with school wide activities during Constitution Week, which ended on Sept. 23, 2009.
Wendy Wortha’s first-grade class at Stallings Elementary celebrated with patriotic hats that students made and proudly wore to lunch. The whole school participated in Constitution Day, which began Sept. 17. The celebration began with a book on the Constitution being read on the morning closed circuit broadcast.
This broadcast offered a lesson about the Constitution, and each class at the school celebrated and honored America in its own way. Activities were designed to teach students about the Constitution of the United States, which was signed by the Constitutional Convention on Sept. 17, 1787.
