Monroe Police Arrest 3 For Robbery. Reginald Chamber, Anthony Polk & Trenton Raley In Jail Without Bond


Monroe NC PoliceMonroe, NC – On Thursday, October 21, 2010, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Officer Jason Frazier observed a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car used in an armed robbery that occurred at the La Chiquita Mexican store located at 1630 Concord Avenue on October 20, 2010, around 6:30 p.m. Officers identified one of the occupants in the vehicle as Reginald Lamont Chambers, who committed the robbery at the Dollar General on Monday morning at 204 E. Sunset Drive. All occupants were transported to the Monroe Police Department for questioning.

Reginald Lamont Chamber, 25 of 505 Stafford Street was arrested and charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. The robbery charges were for the Dollar General and La Chiquita Mexican store.

Anthony Joseph Polk, 28 of 407 Alton Street was arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, and two counts of conspiracy to commit a robbery with a dangerous weapon. Outstanding warrants were also served on Mr. Polk, unrelated to this incident: assault on a female, child abuse, assault on child under 12, domestic criminal trespassing, breaking and entering, harassing phone calls, cyber stalking and communicating threats.

Trenton Jaquan Raley, 18 of 141 Steaman Street, Peachland was arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit a robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of stolen goods, felony possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine and possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana. Both Raley and Polk were charged with robbing La Chiquita Mexican store.

All three suspects are being held in the Union County Jail without bond with a pending court date of December 2, 2010.
