On Saturday, June 6, 2009, the Monroe Police Department will be hosting a 5K Torch Run for Special Olympics of North Carolina. The event will be held downtown Monroe starting with a fun run for the kids at 8:00 a.m. and a 5K run at 8:15 a.m.
I have attached a registration form for the event detailing pre-registration and registration of the event. You may also go to the Monroe Police web site to register online.
This event is a great way to bring awareness for Special Olympics and to help raise money for those athletes who participate in Special Olympics in our area and also throughout North Carolina.
