Monroe, NC City Manager Resigns
Monroe, NC City Council accepted F. Craig Meadows’ resignation from his post as City Manager during the council’s Tuesday night meeting.
The Monroe, NC City Council was looking to move in a new management direction to lead the City. In sharing this discussion with Mr. Meadows, he subsequently decided to submit his resignation, which was unanimously accepted by the Monroe, NC City Council.

“Mr. Meadows did a good job leading Monroe for the past three-and-a-half years and I know he has a bright future ahead of him,” said Monroe, NC Mayor Bobby Kilgore. “We wish him well in his future endeavors.”
The City Council appointed Wayne Herron as Interim City Manager. No timetable has been set to name a permanent manager.
