The First Annual “Sharing Our Heart” Visual Art Show is an opportunity for special needs children to show off their talents in art. It is a show that is meant to celebrate their imagination and originality through creative expression.
This event is sponsored by the Piedmont High School National Art Honor Society in conjunction with Youth Art Month, which is March at the Monroe Mall.
Location: Art work is on display in Monroe Mall
Dates: March 23- March 30th
The show is split into two categories:
Grades K-6
Grades 7-12
Both categories are split into the following subcategories:
Drawing- Includes all writing utensil forms (drawing pencils, colored pencils, charcoal, pen and ink, marker, etc)
Painting- Includes all forms of paint (acrylic, tempera, finger painting, watercolor, etc)
Mixed Media- Includes anything with three different types of media techniques (collages, artwork that has had something glued on it, texture pieces, etc)
There will be a reception to honor those that enter the show at Monroe Mall on March 26th 6pm – 7pm.
Chick -fil -A will be donating ice cream cups to the participants in the art show.
