Kathy Bragg, executive director of the Union County chapter of the American Red Cross, has been reappointed to the national Red Cross President’s Advisory Council.
The advisory group is comprised of approximately 20 chapter executives from the nation’s 775 chapters and advises the president and other national Red Cross leaders on strategic, policy and operational matters.
“I’m honored to be reappointed to this position,”
Bragg said. “My appointment allows the voice of small community chapters to be heard on a national level. The decisions made nationally affect local chapters and how we deliver Red Cross services to our counties.”
“It’s not often that our chapter has a national presence,”
said Pete Hovanec, chairman of the board. “Kathy’s appointment is a tribute to her dedication, which is widely recognized.”
