According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the victim has been identified as 61-year-old David Richard Daniel.
A trooper told WBTV that Daniel was traveling north on Machado Drive near Brief Road when he approached a curve and overturned around 6:10 p.m.
Daniel was traveling 45 mph in the 45 mph zone and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
