Monroe Experiences Flooding | Video Highlights

Monroe, NC – Heavy rains overflowed all of Monroe’s creeks and many streets today. Some streets were nearly impassable and the going was slow. It would have been hard to find any low area that wasn’t flooded. The Scoop Network video cameras were out to capture the high water.

East Union Middle School Students Work To Make Christmas Brighter

Monroe, NC – East Union Middle School C2J students worked at the Union County Christmas Bureau. They prepared Christmas stockings, sorted canned foods and toys, and packed food boxes for the elderly. The students also met Nascar driver, Dale Jarrett, who made a large donation to the bureau.
