Crystal & Robbie Jordan Shot In Parking Lot At Monroe License Plate Bureau

After a thorough review of the details of the DMV robberies in both Charlotte and Monroe, detectives with the Monroe and Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Departments and agents from the State Bureau of Investigation and Department of Motor Vehicles found similarities in the two robberies.

Charlotte’s robbery occurred on October 8, 2010, at 809 E. Arrowood Road. No one was injured in this incident. The Monroe office, located at Bundy Square on Roosevelt Blvd., was robbed on Monday, November 1. Crystal and Robbie Jordan of Waxhaw were shot multiple times during the robbery. Crystal Jordan is at CMC-Main where she is in critical condition. Robbie Jordan was treated for his injuries at CMC-Main and released.

The description of the suspect in both robberies is a black male with medium colored complexion in his 20’s, about 5’10” to 6’0” in height with black hair that is low/close cut. The suspect in both robberies was wearing a white short sleeve t-shirt, loose baggy blue jeans and white tennis shoes with gray stripes.

Monroe NC PoliceMonroe, NC – At 5:52 pm this evening, the Monroe Police Department received a call from Union County Communications that two people had been shot in the parking lot of the Bundy Square strip mall. Responding officers arrived on the scene and discovered two victims lying in the parking lot. The victims were identified as Crystal and Robbie Jordan, of Waxhaw. Crystal Jordan operates the N.C. License Plate Agency, located in that same strip mall. Both victims had been shot more than once and were immediately transported to Carolinas Medical Center-Union.

Witnesses reported that the couple was apparently victim of an armed robbery. A suspect was observed running toward the El Revention nightclub immediately following the shooting. He was described as a short, black male with a dark complexion. The suspect was believed to be in his early twenties, wearing a white t-shirt with a blue design or logo on the front, loose fit blue jeans, and white tennis shoes that were ankle height. The suspect may have had a “corn-row” type hair style. Officers did not release the amount of cash taken in the robbery.

Officers set up a perimeter around the scene and conducted a ground search of the area using a bloodhound. The N.C. Highway Patrol responded with a helicopter to assist with a search from the air. Despite several hours of combing the area, the suspect was not located.

“We are utilizing all our available resources, including assistance from the Sheriff’s Office, the NC Highway Patrol, the NC SBI, and the Union County District Attorney to apprehend the person responsible for this crime.”

    I’m not sure what you’re implying, but you should never under estimate a small police department. Pineville’s police department is jam up in every respect. There is some serious talent out there, and not always where you think it might be. Bigger isn’t always better. Good luck to the Monroe Police Dept. I’m sure they are doing their best to solve this case.

    I pray that he will be found NOW… he hurt 2 innocent people. he needs to be stopped. and he needs help. mentally because someone has got to have a mental dysfunction to just shoot someone. we need to pray for this man to have a heart and turn himself in.
    and pray for the people that were hurt.

    Monroe Police are a joke! They have a better chance of it snowing in july then actually finding out who shot those poor people!
