Cop On Top Event


Do not miss this event this coming weekend and your chance to help out the NC Special Olympics. The goal of the event is to raise funds and awareness for the North Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Officers from the Monroe Police Department will go on top of the roof of Chick-fil-A of Monroe and not come down until Saturday at 4 pm!
When: Beginning on Friday, October 9th, 5-8 p.m. Touch-a-Truck, Family Night. Saturday, October 10th, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
To entertain spectators, Chick-fil-A of Monroe will host 2 days of fundraising events in support of the “Cop-on-Top” and the Special Olympics of North Carolina. Following is a sampling of the many activities taking place.
By supporting this fundraising event, you help your community, local law enforcement and most importantly, very special people like Spencer that you can watch in the video. This video highlights the Monroe Police Dept. 5K Torch Run that was held recently in downtown Monroe, NC. Your support of “Cop On Top” helps Spencer.

Chick-fil-A of Monroe activities include:
- Touch-a-Truck, Family Night, 5-8 p.m.
- Mascot Parade, including appearances by the “Eat Mor Chickin” Cow, Harris Teeter’s “Harry the Dragon”, CMC-U’s, “Lil E. Pad” and Sherrif Department’s “McGruff”
- Raffle for free Chick-fil-A food for a year (raffle tickets are $5)
- Spinning Wheel for prizes ($2 donation requested)
- Drawing for larger pirzes ($20 donation requested), including gift certificates, Best Buy, Lowes Home Improvement, Renaissance Festival, Renn’s Nest, Monroe Crossing, Enterprise Workout Center, Stonebridge Golf Course, Rolling Hills County Club, Jiffy Lube (oil change) and Blevins & Co Salon.
