I would like to advise against this. For years now I have been observing officers and how they choose to handle situations ie: 4th of July festivals, car shows, resturants etc. While many provide quality service there is one in particular that causes concern and has been employeed by the department for years. He is very discrimminatory toward minority populations and abuses his so called authority. It only takes one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch. Because of this one officer, I believe that arming him or other officers who follow his example with a taser would cause those so called “i had no choice” events that would essentially lead to more victims being treated in an already crowded hospital with the inability to pay for services thus increasing the state’s debt.

Based on his comments and decision in this matter I for one (along with many of my cohorts) will definately not be supporting such a hypocritical and immoral scumbag such as John Snyder in the future!

I am so sorry to hear about Jim. We were close during the old Roanoke “daze”. You can never forget Jim’s amazing laugh and his love for life and friends. We went in different airways, but I believe we were always on the same plain.
